So, I bring the happy.

 

My day is not complete without a belly-aching laugh.

 

My yoga class will have a good dose of giggles, too. Usually, I will cue a spoonerism; or I will have class repeat a hearty ha, ha, ha out loud to engage deeper postural muscles. Soon the fake laughter becomes real.

Laughter is a powerful, feel-good, contagious vibe that I instinctively have practiced for my personal wellness. I have an ability to find subtle humor in the mundane of everyday. I have even  laughed through some of my most traumatic experiences. It's like a creative reflex which enlists my body's relentless allegiance to help and to heal. Laughter dispels fear, lessens pain and promotes healing. Laughter is my resilience permitting me to live my nine lives with truth and vitality.

A much celebrated Betty White says, "It’s your outlook on life that counts. If you take yourself lightly and don’t take yourself too seriously, pretty soon you can find the humor in our everyday lives. And sometimes it can be a lifesaver."
